At Strait Ace Tuition Centre, our Year 5 English course is carefully designed to build strong foundations in grammar accuracy, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and structured writing. Through clear teaching, guided practice, and step-by-step skill development, students gain confidence in understanding texts and expressing ideas effectively in writing. Welcome to Cambridge Lower Secondary Science – Year 9 at Strait Ace. This course is designed to develop strong scientific understanding, precise use of scientific language, and clear logical reasoning, in line with Cambridge standards. Throughout the year, you will study key concepts from Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, while learning how to explain ideas clearly and apply knowledge accurately. 🔬 What to Expect In this course, you will: develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts practise writing clear, structured scientific explanations apply knowledge to unfamiliar situations interpret data, diagrams, and experimental results build strong foundations for IGCSE Science Lessons will be taught in class, while Moodle will be used to support your learning through: lesson materials and key notes weekly academic quizzes end-of-unit review assessments assignment submissions revision and reflection activities 📝 Assessment & Expectations Weekly quizzes are used to check understanding and reinforce learning End-of-unit review quizzes assess mastery of each topic Written explanations should use correct scientific terminology Academic honesty, effort, and consistency are expected at all times Students are encouraged to review feedback carefully and improve the quality and accuracy of their answers over time. 🎯 Learning Approach This is an academic-focused course.
